General description

The Viltrox EF-E5 connects Canon EF and EF-S lenses to compatible Sony E bodies via electronic adaptation. It allows you to retain aperture control and focusing functions without replacing your entire lens collection. The OLED screen makes it easy to check the adapter's information during use.
Modular design and compatibility
  • Canon EF and EF-S lenses supported by the adapter.
  • Compatible Sony E cameras, full-frame or APS-C.
  • Electronic functions are subject to the combination of lens, body, and firmware.
Workflow and connectivity

The adapter is installed between the Canon lens and the Sony E body. The camera communicates aperture and focus commands via its contacts and receives EXIF data. Check the specific combination before shooting, especially when using EF-S lenses on full-frame sensors.
Recommended applications
  • Reuse a collection of Canon lenses on a Sony E body.
  • Set up a second Sony camera with existing EF lenses.
  • Record interviews using a compatible Canon lens.
  • Combine Sony bodies and Canon lenses in a production.

Frequently Asked Questions about Viltrox EF-E5 Canon EF to Sony E

If you are considering adding Viltrox EF-E5 Canon EF to Sony E to your team or want to learn more about its features, here you will find answers to the most common questions.

¿Para qué sirve el Viltrox EF-E5?

Adapta objetivos Canon EF y EF-S admitidos a cuerpos Sony E compatibles.
