General description

The Sekonic L-478D LiteMaster Pro is a handheld light meter that allows you to assess the lighting before taking photos or recording video. Its touchscreen interface makes it easy to adjust exposure settings and view readings on a single device.

It combines tools for still and moving images with the ability to tailor measurements to the camera's response using exposure profiles. It is an ideal choice for those who alternate between photography and video shoots and need to maintain consistent measurement criteria.
Modular design and compatibility
  • Optional 5° Sekonic loupe for the L-478 series.
  • Sekonic Data Transfer Software for exposure profiles, subject to your system requirements.
  • Flash measurement with sync cable or in wireless mode.
Workflow and connectivity

Enter the capture parameters and measure the light in the scene. Use the reading to adjust the camera and lighting, repeating the measurement when conditions change.

The wireless flash mode records a flash fired externally. Profile transfer is performed with Sekonic DTS on a compatible computer; this L-478D model should not be confused with the L-478DR versions with radio.
