General description

The Magewell USB Capture HDMI 4K Plus allows you to work with a high-resolution HDMI source and capture its image on the computer. It distinguishes the signal it receives and passes through from the resolution and frequency delivered via USB.

The loop-through and microphone and headphone connections make it easy to maintain a local display and manage the audio at the capture station.

Modular design and compatibility
  • HDMI 2.0 sources with 4K input at 60 fps in 4:4:4.
  • Windows, macOS, Linux, and Chrome OS.
  • OBS Studio, VLC, and XSplit.
  • Zoom Rooms and Microsoft Teams Rooms.
  • USB Capture Utility for device setup.
  • Microphone and headphones with 3.5 mm analog connections.
Workflow and connectivity

Connect the HDMI source to the capture card and the card to a USB 3.0 port on the computer. In the recording, conferencing, or streaming application, select the device and set the capture format. The HDMI pass-through output allows you to connect a second video display without using another capture input.

Recommended applications
  • Record presentations from an HDMI source.
  • Use an HDMI camera in video conferences.
  • Incorporate external video into a stream with OBS Studio.
  • Record product demonstrations.

Frequently Asked Questions about Magewell USB Capture HDMI 4K Plus

If you are considering adding Magewell USB Capture HDMI 4K Plus to your team or want to learn more about its features, here you will find answers to the most common questions.

¿Puedo recibir HDMI 4K60 y grabar a esa misma frecuencia?

No necesariamente.
