General description

This model has been designed for higher-capacity switchers and includes 12G SDI and 10G Ethernet connections. It is ideal for situations in which the camera is located at a great distance from the switcher. The 12G SDI output and corresponding return signal input allow you to control the unit, establish communication, or activate the tally light.

Although the Blackmagic Studio camera is designed for live production, it is not limited to use with a live switcher. This is because it records Blackmagic RAW to USB drives, so it can be used in any situation in which customers use a tripod.
